Carers Support

ReMind UK have a range of support sessions specifically for carers of someone with dementia, to introduce them to helpful services and advice.

Carers support at ReMind UK includes:

  • Information days
  • Online peer videocalls
  • Wellbeing sessions
  • ‘Talking table’ discussions exploring issues such as advanced care planning or strategies to cope

We may work in partnership with other carers organisations or professionals to deliver our support sessions.

Information days

ReMind UK run regular information days for carers of someone with dementia, to introduce a range of local support services and advice. This one-day event held at the ReMind UK centre in Bath is held four times a year (usually on a Friday).

Several expert speakers are invited to present on important topics and carers are given the chance to ask questions. The topics often include legal tips for carers, local services available and learning more about dementia as a disease.

The information day offers an opportunity to connect with people in a similar situation. These courses are free and run regularly through the year.

Online peer videocalls

Informal sessions to meet other carers and connect. Instructions and support for joining the videocall will be provided.

Refreshing wellbeing sessions for carers in partnership with the Holburne Museum and The Carers Centre B&NES.
