Private memory clinic referrals

No matter where you live, ReMind UK’s private memory clinic now offers our expertise as an institute that has been at the cutting edge of cognitive research for decades. Our memory service has been rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission. The clinic, led by Consultant Geriatrician Dr Tomas Welsh, aims to identify why someone is having difficulties with their memory as early as possible.

Your journey with ReMind UK:

ReMind UK also offer a course to learn how to cope with dementia day-to-day as well as a range of support sessions for carers. Our courses are only possible thanks to generous charitable donations to ReMind UK.

Private Memory Clinic
  • The initial consultation involves a detailed interview to examine any symptoms, concerns, and broader medical history.
  • Blood tests and a brain scan will be undertaken at the client cost, ReMind UK can signpost for these if required.
  • A cognitive examination is carried out by one of our research psychologists followed by a clinical examination and review of any relevant tests or brain imaging.
  • All information is then reviewed by our team who will agree on a diagnosis and plan.
  • Some people may go on to receive further investigations, for example more specialist brain imaging, medication or psychological treatments.

ReMind UK s able to offer private memory clinics on Mondays and some Fridays.

“It was a lifeline to find ReMind UK. After my husband’s diagnosis and seeking support from various places, we finally found somewhere we felt we could rely upon for accurate information and someone to speak to who knows what’s going on. The Consultant at ReMind was lovely, we felt very comfortable with him and all the staff were so welcoming. The Consultant spoke to myself, my husband and then to us both together. He made us both feel confident and very fortunate to be in front of him. We were able to ask any questions we had in a safe confidential space.”
