Your journey with ReMind UK:
At ReMind UK, you will be treated with care and dignity in our purpose-built centre. You will have the time and opportunity to discuss your concerns with our team of experts and be provided with detailed information after your appointment which you can share with other health professionals.
Blood tests and a brain scan will need to be undertaken by your GP or a private medical practitioner prior to your attendance at our clinic. When you speak to ReMind UK, we can discuss this and signpost for these if required for minimal waiting time.
- The initial in-person consultation involves a detailed interview in a confidential and supportive environment. The consultation will last at least one hour to examine all symptoms, concerns, and broader medical history.
- A cognitive examination is then carried out by our research psychologists. These tests will include comprehensive and validated cognitive assessments and mood screens. This is followed by a clinical examination and review of any relevant tests or brain imaging.
- All information is then reviewed together by our team to agree on a diagnosis and plan.
- Some people may go on to receive further investigations, for example more specialist brain imaging, medication or psychological treatments. This will be discussed with you in full.
- A comprehensive expert report will be provided to you after your appointment. This information can be shared with your GP to ensure seamless ongoing care. Should medication be appropriate we can provide you with an initial private prescription to avoid delays.

Hear from those we’ve helped
Mrs Whitworth, from Wiltshire, whose husband has been diagnosed with dementia, commented on the private memory clinic:
“It was a lifeline to find ReMind UK. After my husband’s diagnosis and seeking support from various places, we finally found somewhere we felt we could rely upon for accurate information and someone to speak to who knows what’s going on. The Consultant at ReMind UK was lovely, we felt very comfortable with him and all the staff were so welcoming. The Consultant spoke to myself, my husband and then to us both together. He made us both feel confident and very fortunate to be in front of him. We were able to ask any questions we had in a safe confidential space.”
